14ga steel. These are designed to be placed on a 6x6 or 8x8 post for pole barns or a 2x6 girt for your pole barn. Obviously there are other installations possible. If being installed on a 2x6 girt (the horizontal 2x6 boards), these can hold a 3/8 and 1/2 impact.
